The Empowerment and Economic Stability Directorate of the WURA Hope Initiative is dedicated to empowering young mothers, particularly widows, by providing them with the necessary resources, skills, and support to achieve economic stability for themselves and their children. Its modus operandi and core responsibilities include:
Skills Training and Capacity Building
Offering skills training programs and capacity-building initiatives aimed at enhancing the employability and income-generating potential of young mothers, equipping them with relevant vocational skills and entrepreneurship know-how.
Microfinance and Financial Literacy
Facilitating access to microfinance services and providing financial literacy training to young mothers, empowering them to manage their finances effectively, save, invest, and start or expand their own businesses.
Business Incubation and Mentorship
Providing business incubation support and mentorship opportunities for young mothers who aspire to start their own businesses, offering guidance, coaching, and networking opportunities to help them navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship.
Employment Placement and Job Readiness
Assisting young mothers in securing employment opportunities by offering job placement services, resume building workshops, interview preparation, and job readiness training to enhance their employability in the job market.
