About Us

The Wura Hope Women Initiative

Our Slogan:

Mothers’ Lives Matter

Enriching the lives of women for a better society

The Wura Hope Women Initiative is a non-governmental organization dedicated to the welfare of mothers all over the world. By our definition, a mother is every woman who, by virtue of marriage or other circumstances, has given birth to a child or children, as well as all other women who have reached the age of 50 years, whether they have given birth or not. Our operations are currently limited to Nigeria.

WHI is a global membership organization, made up of ‘Love the Mothers International,’ ‘Wura International,’ or ‘Wura Global Family,’ with operations currently in Nigeria. We share one name, one strategy, and one passion for all mothers/women to be loved, respected, cared for, and protected.

Wura Hope Initiative is positioned to care for and improve mothers’ lives around the world. Our program is designed to ensure mothers have access to healthcare, food, and shelter, as well as emotional and psychological support, along with learning and child protection services, especially for the children of widows. We are committed to helping all mothers live a secured life and ensuring that the most vulnerable children achieve their full potentials by growing up healthy, receiving a good education, and staying safe.

Securing mothers’ rights is the foundation of Wura Hope Initiative’s work. Millions of women around the world are denied their rights simply because of who they are or where they come from. We know that to ensure every mother has the chance for a secured future, her rights must be upheld. Through our programming, emotional support, advocacy, and emergency responses, we prioritize the most vulnerable women.
